Bechstein A, £5,950 Ref 101/40

A grand piano is usually more responsive to the touch than an upright piano, due to its different mechanism. It also has slightly longer keys, enabling more control over the sound and making it easier to repeat notes more rapidly.

Sizes of grand pianos vary considerably, from around 4’6” (sometimes referred to as a baby grand) to 7’-8’ (a concert grand).

Descriptions, prices and availability of stock are subject to change - please check before purchase.

If you are unsure about whether one of our secondhand grand pianos will fit within your room, The Piano Shop can supply you with a template to lay out on your floor at home.
